There are a lot of similarities and differences between the two types of cells, the eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells. One of their most notable similarities is that both are enclosed within a structure called a plasma membrane. The plasma membranes of both eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells contain a fluid called a cytoplasm and tiny structures called ribosomes. Moreover, the two cell types also have DNA which basically contains a set of instructions and information that direct the development of the cell. In addition, the genetic code in the DNA of both eukaryotes and prokaryotes are exactly the same. Despite their similarities, however, both cell types also have a lot of differences. The most significant difference between the two is that eukaryotic cells possess a true nucleus while prokaryotic cells do not. Moreover, in terms of structure, the DNA of eukaryotic cells is linear while the DNA of eukaryotic cells is circular which means it has no ends.

Basically, since most it is widely accepted that life on earth started as multi-cellular organism, it is safe to say that eukaryotic cells, which are found in most multi-cellular organism, are the result of evolution of earlier organism. In other words, they are the result of the fusion between earlier and primitive organisms and they developed simply to adapt to the many external factors such as temperature and climate changes.

A production line is basically a series of processes in which materials are refined to produce a desired product. Like a production line, eukaryotic cells also undergo a lot of processes such as DNA replication and RNA transcription, among others to ensure the proper functioning of the organism.
