But the point of concern is not this increase in demand. Its the worlds dependence on fossil fuel which is the point of concern. The Kyoto Protocol agreement made under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), countries that ratify this protocol should commit to reduce their emissions of carbon dioxide and five other greenhouse gases (Boardman, Darby, Killip, Hinnells, Jardine, Palmer, & Sinden, 2005).

The Oil price is now at around $65-75 per barrel from the figure of $10 per barrel in 2000 and if this trend continues the figure will one day cross all limits and may affect the world so hard that a very long period of recession will the economy.
