A library is a place in which literary and materials, such as books, periodicals, newspapers, pamphlets, prints, records, and tapes, are kept for reading, reference, or lending. Library is a depository built to contain a collection of literary information or records kept for reference and study. The functions of a library are acquires, manages, evaluates, promotes and disseminates. The common types of libraries are national library, academic library, public library, school library, and special library. In this assignment, we are given a task to develop a library with our own

specifications. So, we have to create the library that is decorated with a friendly environment to give a different situation to our visitors. Our library is Perpustakaan Ilmu Bestari. Our librarys mission is to provide comprehensive resources and services in support of the research, teaching, and learning needs of the community. In our group, there are four members, of which are Tengku Ahmad Aizuddin Tengku Ahmad (2012), Nuratikah Amirah Borhan (2012820916), Nur Afiqah Ruslan (2012651884) and Wan Nur Syamimi Wan Azmi (2012404064).

We were given 1000 items to be organized which is fiction books, non-fiction books, folded maps, video CD, software DVD, posters, collectible classic coins, thesis and dissertation, music albums and journals. 2. 0 Library Background Perpustakaan Ilmu was held on 17th September 1990 to all users in local of Machang, Kelantan Darul Naim. Our library starts the operation at 8 a. m to 10. 30 p. m on Saturday to Thursday except Friday. It will be the most dynamic learning environment to achieve as a centre of intellectual inquiry.

The library also provides the efficient service, effective, updated and user friendly. Perpustakaan Ilmu play a role to support all programme of learning, teaching, research and knowledge development by providing a range of services, the diversity of the collection, the latest technology and information resources and robust. It provides a user friendly and awesome service to users and will make sure that our client charter has been fulfilled. Perpustakaan Ilmu has an area of 42 x 80sq which has two floor.

The library provide best services to users such as IT Corner, meeting room, seminar room, surau, elevator, locker, and etc. It will assist users to feel comfortable with environment at library. We also have four main part of department. It is department of library planning and development, department of human resources and development, department of customer services and department of multimedia and information technology. The department is related each other to ensure that the library is running properly. 2. 1 Mission of library

The Perpustakaan Ilmu mission is to provide comprehensive resources and services in support of the research, teaching, and learning needs of the community. To fulfil the mission, the Library commits to: Understand the information that users need Have collections and built retrieval tools to users access the information Ensure preservations and availability of collections and resources Create comfortable environment to study, teaching and research Develop, encourage, and sustain expertise, skill, commitment and an innovative spirit to staff 2. 2 Vision of library As an awesome centre of the knowledge. 2.

In this desired future, Perpustakaan Ilmu Bestari ensure that will provide efficient services, effective, updated and user friendly optimize usage of various information resources and facilities upgrade knowledge workers improve the distribution of cost effectiveness strengthen user education program towards lifelong learning develop, document, maintain and strengthen teaching and research resources of all disciplines either in print, multimedia and electronic format
